New Entrant Enrolments - Team Rata

The first step is to check that you live in our school zone. Please see the map below. Please call the school to start the enrolment process. After this, you will be emailed a link to complete the online enrolment form. 

Once the enrolment application has been processed  we will email you an appointment to meet with Chris Swanson, our Deputy Principal. This meeting is important as Chris will explain to you about your child starting school, how the school works, pre-entry visits, school uniform and stationery etc. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

You will need to provide the following documents:

*Your child’s NZ birth certificate, or NZ Passport

If a parent is born outside of New Zealand, we need proof of ID (Passport/birth certificate)

*Immunisation certificate, 

*Recent Evidence of living in our zone (NOT a rates bill),

*Any relevant custody arrangements and any relevant visa and residency documents.   

Prior to your child starting school, you will receive correspondence informing you of three school visits which your child will need to attend.

These dates are pre-set due to our Cohort entry date. We have two Cohorts per term and depending on when your child turns 5, will determine 

when they will start school. Please see Cohort Entry dates below.

On the first visit, parents and caregivers are welcome to stay for the whole time to support their child. 

On the second and third visits, we would appreciate it if you could leave your child for the duration of the visit, as this is a nice lead-in for starting full school days. 

Stationery and Uniform 

Please visit www.myschool.co.nz/rolleston  regarding school stationery . This is ordered online through Office Max. It would be helpful if your child could have these stationery items ready for starting school.

Please call the school to start the enrolment process. After this you will be emailed a link to complete the online enrolment form . After this has been received and reviewed we will contact you with a time & date to meeting with our DP. 

You will need to provide originals of your child’s birth certificate, immunisation certificate, evidence of living in zone (we do not accept rates demands), any relevant custody arrangements and any relevant visa and residency documents.
